Lions are men and women dedicated to serving those in need, whether in their community of halfway around the world. Membership in a Lions Club provides people with the opportunity to meet and work with other individuals in a spirit of fellowship, striving toward the common goal of helping those in need. Through their mutual concern of others, members have the opportunity to improve both their local and world communities and develop valuable personal and professional skills.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to visit our Mount Joy Lions Club website. Hopefully, our various links will provide you with helpful information regarding the scope and purpose of our Club.

Additionally, we would invite you to explore the possibility of membership in an organization that has served the Mount Joy area for more than 60 years. Community service is a very gratifying endeavor for all community members. The Mount Joy Lions Club offers different ways for someone interested in serving the community and allows one to use their personal skills and interests to do so. Should you wish to learn more regarding membership, please feel free to contact us.

We would be very happy to have a member of the Club contact you personally if you wish to discuss the possibility of membership or you could choose to attend one of our two monthly meetings as our guest. We do a a prospective member information package for you to review and learn more about Lionism and opportunities for community service.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - The first regular meeting of the Club will begin with dinner at 6:30 pm at the Gathering Place in Mount Joy. The program for the evening will be presented by our New President, Lion Ray Little who will review his plan(s) for the 2009-2010 Lions year. If members have not signed up for this meeting and would like to attend, call Lion Ray to make reservations.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009 - The second regular meeting of the Club will move to Lancaster for the Barnstormers game. Reservations were to have been made by Friday, June 26th with either President, Lion Ray Little or Lion Rodney Schaum. If any member is interested in attending and did not make reservations, call Lion Ray or Lion Rodney.
